Seasonal Gifting
For our 2022 Seasonal Gifting donation, we joined forces with Rewards.Earth to make a positive impact on the environment by planting trees on behalf of you, our customers. We wanted to share with you the huge success of this activity, which resulted in a reduction of 1,248.80 tons of carbon dioxide, 4,088 trees planted, and 40 workdays created. We are proud to have made a difference and to have been part of your efforts to create a better world.

How to Navigate Today’s Changing
Vendor Landscape
The start of 2023 has presented several challenges to businesses already, particularly around rising vendor costs and the increasing threat of audits. Some customers have even citied price increases of up to 1000% on their Oracle Java subscription alone. Microsoft had already raised prices in March of 2022 — up to 25% in some cases — and there are more price hikes expected in the future. This trend is becoming increasingly common due to the current global economic climate, fluctuating exchange rates and unpredictable supply chains, among other contributing factors.
Despite these challenges, there is still hope for businesses to navigate the shifting vendor landscape successfully. According to the latest report from Gartner, SaaS spend is expected to exceed $270 billion by 2025. To help businesses effectively
deal with the situation, Gartner suggests that IT asset management teams, “must modify existing negotiation strategies and start early to effectively plan and identify ways to mitigate the risk of these price increases . . . [and] optimize costs and spend and maximize leverage by evaluating all options for both SaaS and support contracts, running cost models for differing options/commitments based on migration or implementation timelines and enhancing ongoing SAM processes.”

Improved Access to Snow Product Downloads
Many of our customers utilize Snow Update services to access the most recent product releases. This Windows® service allows for seamless automatic or manual updating of our applications. In some cases, customers may have previously downloaded versions from ftp.snowsoftware.com. We are excited to announce that, moving forward, these downloads will now be available in a convenient new downloads section within Snow Globe.
