Kirk Larson appointed as Global General Counsel and Secretary, Snow Software

AUSTIN, Texas, May 10, 2017:  Snow Software, the recognized global leader in on-premise and cloud-based Software Asset Management (SAM) and Cloud Spend Management solutions that cover all platforms, today announced the appointment of Kirk Larson as General Counsel and Secretary, based in Snow’s Austin office. He will report to Axel Kling, CEO of Snow Software and assume the company’s legal, regulatory and governance responsibilities. An in-house counsel for technology companies for most of his career, Larson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

“When I first learned of Snow, I quickly realized its technology solves a problem that every company faces,” said Larson “The value that understanding a company’s software and hardware estate can bring to senior executives across the organization – not just CTOs or CIOs but also general counsels, CFOs and audit committee members – cannot be overstated.” Larson further added, “I’ve personally dealt with issues that could have been prevented by implementing Snow’s solutions and I am delighted to have the opportunity to support the company as it solves these issues for our customers.”

Kling announced Larson’s appointment, “I’m very pleased to welcome Kirk to the Snow team. He joins us at a pivotal moment – just last month Sumeru Equity Partners led a $120 million investment in Snow to accelerate our global expansion plans – and Kirk’s extensive experience guiding high-growth technology companies will be invaluable as we continue to expand.”

Prior to joining Snow, Larson worked at various other technology companies based in Austin, including Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV), WP Engine and Upland Software (NASDAQ: UPLD), where his work included software licensing, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate and compliance matters.
