Oediv

Snow Software has provided reliable solutions to our Software Asset Management challenges, with extensive product features backed up by a strong team. The team’s ability to quickly understand the complex problems facing OEDIV was also an important factor in choosing Snow. Complementing the services provided by Snow and Octopus Cloud, OEDIV is now finding new consultancy approaches with its own customers. These are the optimal foundations for a trusting partnership with Snow Software.

About OEDIV

OEDIV is a 100% subsidiary of Dr. Oetker and part of the Oetker Group, one of the largest family-owned businesses in Europe with around 31,000 employees and an annual turnover of €12 billion[FB1] . OEDIV has been active in IT hosting for more than 20 years and manages a large number of systems for German and international customers. As well as serving customers within the Oetker Group itself, it has many external customers, primarily medium-sized companies.Challenge

OEDIV strives for a reliable and holistic license management, both as a service provider and internally, with a focus on Microsoft Enterprise Agreements and the licensing position of its customers. Another crucial box to be ticked was the reliable recognition of Microsoft SQL Server. OEDIV oversees a large estate of Oracle and SAP software, and a Software Asset Management (SAM) solution had to have the functionality to manage those effectively.

Why Snow

The proof of concept demonstrated almost immediately that Snow’s SAM Platform could more than meet these challenges. The team from Snow responded quickly and flexibly to any requirements beyond the established product standard and always came up with bespoke solutions. A highlight was how Snow handled the all-important Microsoft licenses, working closely with partner Octopus Cloud.
